Never Once

Hi friends and fam,

Sorry it's been so long. I promise to be better (have I promised that before?!) with posting! Today's post is a little more serious than normal. God really blessed me in church today and I wanted to share with ya'll.

We sang a song today called "Never Once", it absolutely blew me away. Let me back up a little. Yesterday, when we were shopping we came across a baby name book. Drew looked up the name Elizabeth and saw that her name in Hebrew means "God's promise". That really struck both of us. (Yes, we were the parents that named their child without looking up the meaning!) So when we read this, it was even more meaningful.

Now back to the song. In the song it talks about how never once do we ever walk alone. It talks about the trials we go through, the scars we acquire, but yet God is faithful, he never leaves us. As I was worshiping, it hit me all the ways God has been there for us through over the last 8 months.

For those of you that don't know, we lost our first baby last February. It was the most difficult time of our lives. However, God carried us through, even though we now have "scars and struggles" from that difficult time, thankfully, our hearts can still say "Never once did we ever walk alone. Never once did You leave us on our own.You are faithful, God, You are faithful".

As I was singing this song, God reminded me of his promise that "he will never leave us or forsake us". He also promised that "we can cast our burdens on him because he cares for us", and one of my favorites, that "his mercies are new every morning".  These are promises that Drew and I relied on during the weeks and months after losing our sweet baby. After, remembering his promises, I then thought about our sweet Elizabeth. How fitting that God gave us her name, and then led us to see that she will always be a reminder of his promises.

I'm attaching a link to the song, please listen, it is truly an amazing song. It's hope for those that are going through trials, and a reminder for those who have come out of trials of how far God has brought them.

Love to all,
Jenny

*Also, here is a pic of me at 23 weeks and then almost 24 week baby bump.
